The season 2016-17 just started for some leagues around the world, the spanish La Liga which features both Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi will begin this friday with Malga v Osasuna to kick it off. Outright winner of La Liga

• Barcelona – 8/11
• Real Madrid – 7/5
• Atletico Madrid 10/1

As we see it the Atletico Madrid odds is very high. Even though they might not have the same history as Barca or Real they have a couple of fantastic years behind them and it seems like they’re only getting better by each season. Last year they really did challenge Barca and Real for the title even though they fell a couple of points short. They also impsressed in the Champions League reaching the final and being beaten by Real in penalties with Cristiano scoring the deciding penalty.

• Luis Suarez – 15/8
• Lionel Messi – 9/4

Cristiano will miss the start of the season with the injury that he got in the EURO 2016 final and that will give both Leo and Suarez a head start on the route to the Pichichi award.  Even though Suarez was Barca’s main goal scorer last season I still believe that the Messi odds is a bit high. He will still take the penalties and most of the free kicks. I’m betting on Messi here.
