Messi vs Ronaldo in El Clasico

Tomorrow brings us one of the highlights of the football season as Real Madrid take on Barcelona in El Clasico. And this is probably one of the most star-studded and highly anticipated El Clasico fixtures of all time, with the likes of Ronaldo, James Rodriguez and Benzema (but not the injured Bale) going head-to-head with Messi, Neymar and maybe even Luis Suarez who could make his competitive debut for the Catalan club.

Two of the game’s greatest ever players, four of the five most expensive players in history and the possible return of Luis Suarez. You’d be mad to miss it.

With that said, let’s look at how Messi and Ronaldo have fared in El Clasico games so far in their careers. The BBC have put together an interesting article on this El Clasico fixture and have included a small infographic comparing the stats of Leo and CR7.

It’s evident that Messi and Barcelona hold the upper hand thus far, but with Ronaldo’s spectacular start to the season (20 goals in 13 games at the time of writing) it would take a brave man to back against him in tomorrow’s game, especially with it being at the Bernabeu.

Let’s hope the match lives up to its billing.

We all can appreciate Reals effort to win despite lagging so early… Pique gave an unnecessary penalty.. Cr7 equaling gave the boost and brought the game to level playing field… The Star Sports commentary clearly told that Messi was missing from the match… Neymar had a better day and Luis suarez well i dont know… Pepe scored an unmarked header and a perfect recovery for isco than a well unselfish pass by Ronaldo then an assist by james followed by a perfect finish by benzema to score the third….
It was a good match… Barcelona conceded for the first time this season and lost its first league game..
I am a fan of Real madrid so might be a bit biased but it was an awesome win… Be logical and give well comments no hate…

”a well unselfish pass by Ronaldo” Madrid fans always giving the credit to Ronaldo even when he does nothing…

      • Raul154

And barca fans to messi when he clearly does nothing.. Like in worldcup.. When he got the gift of golden ball.. Even maradona insulted that move of fifa..

        • Fahad Mustafa

hahahahah raul Messi is the King he lead Argentina into wc final thats why he got the bolden ball. Madrid fans are jealous of THE KING MESSI.

          • Munnah D Masterz

            Lead to a defeat.

What do you think? Have your say…

So who's the best?
